Artisan Story
Mr Arif Ansari started his business in the year 2000 and has been associated with Asha Handicrafts Association for the last 5 years.
Arif comes from a family of businessmen, each with their own separate business and as such felt the pressure to prove himself. He didn’t find success right away, but instead faced difficulties as would any new start-up. With his determination to succeed, he looked for new channels and methods to promote his products.
Making profit but not allowing your employees to reap the benefits of their contribution to that profit is something that personally offends Arif. He has seen his competition do this and knows that it is the reason why he has succeeded.
He believes that he should help his artisans professionally as well as socially, ensuring their happiness and loyalty.
