Wakami Artisan Story
My name is Blanca, I am 19 years old and 3 years ago I started weaving bracelets for Sembrando Sonrisas. I dreamed of graduating school but I had to leave at middle school. My family didn’t have money to pay for my education. When I turned 17 I had my first daughter, I was already working with Wakami and that helped me a lot.
Wakami has helped my family, not only my husband and daughters, but also my little sister. Wakami supported her with a scholarship. I dream of seeing my sister graduated, I dream of having a house of my own that has a kitchen and maybe even a small store. I am grateful to Wakami for the opportunity they gave my sister.
