Artisan Story
Each summer 1000 families go to the rainforest to harvest the Amazon nuts. Candela takes the remaining pods and fills them with wax to create an exotic and beautiful natural candle. It is an excellent re-use of a sustainable resource. This product began life 50 metres high in the rainforest canopies of Peruvian Amazon. Rare euglosine bees, which feed on tree-growing orchids, pollinate the brazil nut tree in the remote state of Madre de Dios.
