Wakami Artisan Story
My name is Blanca Luz, I am 25 years old and I work at Sembrando Sonrisas. I live in Jocotán Chiquimula. I used to dream of becoming a teacher but I got pregnant and had to quit school. When I had my child I stayed home all day. My mom told me she didn't want to see me doing nothing so she gave me a second chance to study. Working with Wakami helped me graduate because I had money. If I had not been weaving bracelets it would not have been possible for me to graduate. Last year I graduated. It was hard, but for my daughter Danica Paola I did the best I could. I am grateful to my parents for giving me a second chance and with Wakami for helping me make my dream possible.
