In Their Own Words

Country: India
Year Founded: 1975
Who do they help? Working with more than 800 artisans from across India.
How do they help? Asha Handicrafts provides training and teaching facilities, and establishing new local groups of craftsmen. Furthermore, through our trained welfare professionals, Asha supports the community. Our vision and mission is to provide marketing support to our artisans through a sustainable global market and help them to preserve the art and craft of India.
As a social enterprise, all the profits are ploughed back towards the social welfare of our artisans and their families. By purchasing directly from the artisan groups and offering advance payments on orders, Asha increases the income levels of producer groups and prevents the accumulation of long-term debts.
Special Thanks to: Allan for being so helpful and providing any information I asked for.
